DARTFORD ROAD RUNNERS CLUB RULES

1. Title
The name of the Club shall be Dartford Road Runners.

2. Headquarters
The headquarters of the Club is at Princes Park Stadium, Darenth Road, Dartford, Kent.

3.Object
The object of the Club is the promotion of Amateur Athletics.

4. Management
The Management of the Club is vested in a committee consisting of a Chairperson, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and two other members, all to be elected annually, three to make a quorum. The Committee has power to fill any vacancy which may arise.
The Management Committee shall meet quarterly and all decisions will be by majority vote; the Chairperson shall have a casting vote in the event of a tie.
The Management Committee has the power to form a sub-committee as and when considered necessary.

5.Membership
Membership of the  Club is confined to Amateurs as defined by the British Athletics Federation in the BAF Rules for Competition book.
A candidate for Membership must apply in writing on a form provided for the purpose, be proposed by one Member and seconded by another Member, and be elected by ballot at the next ensuing Committee Meeting.

6.Resignation
A member intending to withdraw from the Club shall give notice in writing to the Honorary Secretary, and their membership terminates on the date of that notice unless they are financially indebted to the Club, in which case the Committee may withhold acceptance of the resignation until the liability is discharged. A member not having tendered their resignation prior to the end of July may be liable for the ensuing year's subscription.

7.Subscription
The Annual Subscription of the Club is £10 (ten pounds) payable on election and subsequently on the 1st July each year.
"The Committee shall have the power to expel any member whose subscription is two months in arrears, provided notice in writing shall have been sent to such member by post to his/her last known address, informing him/her of the proposed action of the Committee".
"The name and address of any person so expelled from the Club in the Southern district shall be sent to the South of England AA who shall enter his/her name in a book (to be called "The Suspension Book") to be kept for that purpose. Every person whose name has been entered in a Black Book shall be suspended from competing at any meeting held under Federation Rules until the liability causing his/her said expulsion, which shall not exceed one year's subscription, shall have been discharged. Only fully paid up members are eligible to take part in any competition proposed by the Club."

8.Annual General Meeting
A General meeting shall be held during the month of February, or as soon as practically possible there after in every year to receive the Committee's report and financial statement, 
To elect Officers and Committee and deal with any other matter specified on the agenda. The Honorary Secretary must give every member  21 days notice of the meeting, and notice of any business which it is desired be placed on the agenda must be given in writing to the Honorary Secretary at least 14 days prior to the meeting.
Attendance by 20 paid up Club members will constitute a quorum.
The Chairperson shall have a casting vote.

9.Special General Meeting
A special General Meeting must be called by the Honorary Secretary within 21 days of the receipt of a requisition in writing signed by at least thirty members of the Club, stating the business to be brought before such a meeting.

10.Alteration of Club Rules
No alteration or addition may be made to the Club rules except by an Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting called for that purpose. Notice of any proposed amendment must be given as provided in Rules 8 and 9.
For the rule change to be adopted, two thirds-majority of the voting membership must pass the motion. Proxy voting will be taken into consideration, if the reason to call a SGM is of an important decision to the future of the club. This will be agreed by the committee.

11.Club Colours
The colours of the Club shall be a black vest with white and red side panels.
Club colours must be worn by all competitors representing the Club at every competitive event.
